Dr. Amy Balettie and her staff provide the most contemporary podiatric medical and surgical services available today – without sacrificing service and attention associated with days gone by.
Dr. Balettie is a native of Collinsville, Illinois and is a graduate of the University of Kansas. She received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Finch University in Chicago.
Her postdoctoral training included a two-year residency in biomechanics and surgery, at the Eastern Kansas Veterans Administration Center in Leavenworth, Kansas. Her residency included work at hospitals in Leavenworth, Topeka, Lawrence and Wichita, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri. During this time Dr. Balettie served as Chief Resident.
Prior to joining Foot Healers, Dr. Balettie was a partner in a large podiatric practice in Michigan, where she helped grow the practice from two doctors and one office to four physicians and two locations. Dr. Balettie brings nearly 10 years of private practice experience to Foot Healers.
Actively Involved in the Podiatric Profession
Dr. Balettie has received advanced training in forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction as well as in wound care and diabetic limb salvage. Dr. Balettie has also been active in podiatric research, including a number of pending journal case studies on ultrasound applications to the anatomy of the foot.
Dr. Balettie is Board Certified and a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Missouri Podiatric Medical Association. She is on staff at several St. Louis area hospitals.
Dr. Balettie is the only Certified Master Surgeon of the Hyprocure Sinus Tarsi Implant for flat foot surgery in the St. Louis area. She is also certified in performing implant surgery for arthritis of the great toe joint.

Dr. Balettie has always enjoyed community service and was an active member of several local philanthropic organizations in Michigan, including serving on the Board of Directors for the local chapter of the YMCA, Kiwanis and the Karmonos Cancer Institute. In addition, Dr. Balettie volunteered a number of local charities, including the Special Olympics.
